Surrounded by the chunky forest of Western Ghats, Barkana Falls is a tiered waterfall in Karnataka, India. It is formed by 259 meters drop of Seetha River. The tiered waterfall is noted as one of the ten highest waterfalls in India. The falls rely on the Monsoon season for its water. It is situated at a distance of 10 kilometers from Agumbe in Shimoga district.

  • There is no lodging facility available at the summit of the waterfall. The visitors have to arrange for their accommodation in Agumbe village itself.

  • The nearest railway station is Udupi. It is located at a distance of 53 km. The area is also well connected by road, hence one can ride on local buses to reach there.
