• He has spent seven years with the corpse until the body was discovery by Helen’s relatives and authorities in 1940.

• He was already married to Doris Schäfer (1889–1977) and had kids named Ayesha Tanzler, and Clarista Tanzler when he fell for Hoyos.

• He was registered as Georg Karl Tänzler on his German marriage certificate. He was registered under the name Carl Tanzler von Cosel in his US citizenship papers, while his Florida death certificate had the name Carl Tanzler.
