Before following these steps you might want to determine if you have changed you name on Facebook within the period of 60 days, this trick may not work for you. You can search for articles on the internet regarding changing your name on the platform in 60 days of changing the name. Personally, I couldn’t find any, so you may have to check this on your own. So lets dive into the process of removing your surname from Facebook.
Steps:
Step 1. Go to language setting, on PC you can find it on right sidebar below sponsored ads.
If you are doing this on you phone, you can check for language via the 3 horizontal lines (Triple bar), under Help & Setting.
Step 2. Change the language to Tamil.
Step 3. Go to setting, on you PC or phone, also make sure to remember that since you have changed the language you might get confuse on searching for setting option, so take note of it beforehand.
Step 4. Remove your surname from the last name section and save the change. Also keep in mind that you can change your name back to your previous name within 48 hours of a name change. You’ll still be unable to change your name for 60 days after this.
You will need to provide you password in order to save the changes. And that’s pretty much you have to do in order to Remove Last Name From Facebook. You can change the language back to English or what ever you prefer and enjoy your Facebook with only first name.
