Warner Bros. Discovery and Viacom 18 had recently revealed about a multi-year agreement with Jio Cinema. The Warner Bros content had previously been displayed on the Disney-owned Star TV platform but recently the deal was expired.

The new deal is another major victory for Mukesh Ambani, one of India’s richest businessmen. His Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is the owner of Viacom18 and the JioCinema streaming platform.

When Jio Cinema is streaming HBO content in India?

Jio Cinema is going to stream HBO original, Warner Bros and Max content in India in the month of May.

The deal includes some of the most famous shows of HBO’s original like future seasons of House of the Dragon,  Succession and The White Lotus, and returning seasons of True Detective, The Last of Us, Euphoria, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty and Perry Mason and many more.

The deal will also make upcoming HBO originals such as The Idol, White House Plumbers, The Sympathizer and The Regime, and popular legacy HBO series such as Game of Thrones, Sex & the City, Big Little Lies and Chernobyl available for Indian viewers.
