On January 3rd 2022, lacey ellen Fletcher was found melted into her couch, dead.

Police were horrified when they found her on the family couch, covered in fecal matter, maggots and bodily fluids.
She weighed only 96 pounds at the time of her death. The coroner believed that she may even be sitting in her own filth for 12 years.

Years when not even her neighbours knew she existed. Lacey was diagnosed with severe autism and reportedly locked in syndrome, not being able to move, caused her to melt into her couch.

Her parents Sheila and Clay Fletcher were supposed to be her caretakers but failed to bring her to the suggested doctor’s appointments.
Instead she was left starved, malnourished, and eventually had sepsis. Her parents were charged with second degree murder.
